Join Me For The Behind The Scenes Of My Simple & Low-Key Launch

As I gear up for the next enrolment of YS&SB in a few weeks and I have conversations with friends, clients, and the awesome humans inside YS&SB about how they’re feeling as they embark on their own launches too I can’t stop thinking to myself: I wish that we were having more honest and human conversations about the emotional rollercoaster that comes with launching.

Because so often all we see are the highlight reels: polished launch strategies brought to life, the celebrations of reaching sales goals, the reflections on the other side when we are no longer in the thick of the anxiety and overwhelm that launching can bring.

And I get it: it isn’t sexy to share the messy middle.

But I think that the messy middle is what so many of us are actually craving.

Because a thriving business isn’t just about finding the best strategy and following through on that to reach our goals.

This journey is way deeper than that.

It’s about finding a way to pursue our goals without burning ourselves out in the process, about finding the courage to show up even when we have no guarantee of the outcome we desire, and about embracing the adventure and uncertainty of entrepreneurship instead of standing on the sidelines and refusing to move forward until we know exactly what’s coming next.

And as I shared in this recent weekly letter about how and why I’m simplifying this upcoming launch, I’m keeping things very low-key for this enrolment because I just don’t have the capacity to go big or go home for this one.

And that in and of itself is quite the emotional rollercoaster for me - because I know how effective it can be to do lots of pre-marketing and give a whole lot of energy to the build up to an enrolment.

But as I’ve shared with you many times this past year, my health has really been kicking my ass and I’d rather launch gently and good-enough-ly rather than burn myself out or not even get in the arena at all because I can’t keep up with the pace that this industry normalises when it comes to selling in our business.

So that all leads me to this behind the scenes launch diary.

Because I want to share with you the insights and behind the scenes that I love to consume myself, the honest and human conversations that help me feel less alone in this wild ride of entrepreneurship and that encourage me to know that it’s okay to show up with the capacity I do have instead of comparing myself to people on a very different path to me.

The first episode is now live on my podcast where I share:

  • Why I’m doing this launch diary

  • Some behind the scenes on what I’m launching, how I’ve launched it in the past, and how it usually sells too

  • The gap between traditional launch advice and our capacity for that workload

  • How a 5th launch of a program feels very different to the first

  • How and why this is going to be a very simple and low-key launch

  • How I’m feeling as I’m about to embark on this launch

  • The things I will be prioritising most

  • What you can expect from this launch diary

A new episode of this launch diary will go live every week for the next six weeks where I’ll take you with me as I prepare for this launch and then real-time behind the scenes and updates as I navigate this enrolment too.

I’ll share numbers and updates as I go and all of my emotions and decisions along the way too.

And most of all I hope that this launch diary can help normalise launching in a way that honours our energy in the season we’re in and navigating the emotional rollercoaster that launches can bring too.

And you can subscribe on Spotify and Apple Podcasts to have new episodes sent straight to your podcast feed too!
