What I Learned From My First Reader Q&A

First up, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who answered my first ever Reader Q&A that went live last weekend - over 100 of you shared your awesome feedback and it was so nice to be able to get to know you guys a little better. Overall everything was super positive and supportive - though of course I was super excited and open to hear any constructive feedback I could learn from as well. It was so nice to have an insight into your lives and your experience of this little online space and I want to share today some of the biggest things I've taken away from your feedback:

Jennypurr readers are awesome I already knew this of course, but being able to find out more about your lives and the awesome things you're doing was my favourite part of this Q&A. You're an awesome mix of dreamers, creators, writers, students, and everything else in between, and scattered all over the globe from Germany, to Nigeria, America, Brisbane, and then right back here in the UK. With readers aged 14-40+, your average age is 23 and after reading all of your feedback I just wanted to grab coffee with each and every one of you so I could get to know you better.

You want more personal content The biggest feedback from you guys on things you'd like to see more of in 2015 is more personal and behind the scenes content. This was so interesting for me to hear, as for a while now I've shared less and less personal content over here as I started to fear it didn't add any value to the reader experience. This place exists as an online creative resource, though a big thing I want to take with me into 2015 is the fact that helpful and interesting content can still be personal and human. So I'm exploring different ways I can share more of myself with you guys, and hopefully next year we can continue to develop together an awesome community vibe with this space.

You’re as passionate about blogging as I am I loved discovering that 80% of you are bloggers (with 11% hoping to start a blog soon) and so many of you were so kind and supportive and said how helpful you find the blogging related content I share and I can't tell you how happy that made me. I love blogging; as an industry I am so passionate about what we can do with our online spaces and how blogging can be way more than just a hobby if we want it to be. I know taking blogging seriously is not everyone's cup of tea, but I was super excited to hear that the majority of you guys are as passionate as I am. I've been working on some new projects recently that hopefully you will be excited about once I share them with you in the new year, and your feedback was the extra push I needed to really leap into the next stage of what I want this space to be.

You have so many awesome questions Seriously, your questions and feedback sparked so many ideas for new content and also really encouraged me to think about a few things in more depth as well. There were so many frequently asked questions from you all so I will be sharing answers to some of them next week, and I would love to keep an open dialogue with you and really tailor some of my content to what it is you want to know. My newsletter will be back up and running in the new year which I'm super excited for, and my plan is to use that as a way to hopefully really connect with you guys.

I’m super excited for 2015 I've been working a lot on some behind the scenes projects recently (my first ever digital product, and a brand new website and services for my freelance work) and I'm so excited to head into 2015 and take a leap into my bigger goals and dreams. Hearing your feedback and how passionate you guys are about your own lives and your plans and dreams made me realise that I'm not alone in dreaming big and wanting to make 2015 the best year yet. I can't wait to share more daily content with you, launch my new projects, and hopefully support each other along the way as we really fight to build lives we love.

So again, a huge thank you to everyone who replied to the Q&A (and it's still open if you haven't yet and you want to share some feedback). Even more though, I just want to thank every single one of you for supporting this online space, whether you've been reading since the beginning or just the past few months, and I really can't wait to continue on this awesome journey together.
